Where is Osborne Park?

Osborne Park or ‘Ossie Park’ is a 5.1 km² area in the inner northern suburbs of Perth, Western Australia. The area is governed by the City of Stirling and has a residential population of approximately 4,000.

The suburb was named after a butcher and was originally the site of market gardens.

Today Ossie Park is best known as a congested light industrial area home to hundreds of warehouses, furniture shops and the Swedish globochain Ikea. Meatballs anyone?

In 2015 the Osborne Park/Tuart Hill area was named as having Perth’s highest residential density at 3,600 persons per sq km (1). This is expected to continue as hundreds of newly constructed apartments hit the market. REIWA also estimates that Osborne Park is the cheapest suburb within 10km of the CBD to own a freestanding residential property (2).
